Village Services and General Information
The Village of South Chicago Heights offers some services to their residents free of charge.
Administrator: Paul Peterson
Finance Director: John Dolasinski
Director of Public Safety: Albert Ross
The Administrative Department is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Village and coordinates the operations of all departments within the Village.
Director: Lou Bednarek
The building and code department are responsible for ensuring business are code compliant and that buildings are being constructed and maintained to the correct codes defined by the municipality.
Chief: Larry Nardoni
The fire department consists of (2) full-time contract fire fighters, (12) part-time fire fighters, and (26) on-call fire fighters. They provide 24/7 support and service to the village.

The police department consists of (6) Dispatchers, (30) Officers, and (13) vehicles. They provide 24/7 support and service to the Village.
Director: Rick Wehrle
The public works department is in responsible for all of the streets and services in the community. This includes roads, lawn care, snow removal, water lines, and sewage lines.
