CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Bid documents, including instructions to Bidders, technical specifications, general and any special conditions and bid forms including required certifications are available via the Village’s website at https://www.southchicagoheights.com/ and at the Village of South Chicago Heights Village Hall, 317 Chicago Road, South Chicago Heights, Illinois 60411.
BID DEADLINE: 10:00 A.M. LOCAL TIME, TUESDAY OCTOBER 13TH, 2020. Immediately thereafter, the Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after that time or at a different location will be rejected.
NOTICE: Sealed proposals for the Breathing Air Supply System will only be received by the Village of South Chicago Heights, Illinois, at the office of the Village Clerk, 3317 Chicago Road, South Chicago Heights, Illinois 60411, until the Bid Deadline. Each proposal shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and clearly marked “ “SEALED BID – BREATHING AIR SUPPLY SYSTEM” and bear the name of the bidder. No responsibility shall be attached to any person for premature opening of a Bid not properly identified.
AWARD OF CONTRACT AND RIGHTS RESERVED: The Contract shall be awarded to the lowest most responsible and responsive bidder based on criteria set forth by the Village. The Village reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, and to waive informalities or technicalities in bidding. The Village shall, in its sole discretion, determine what does or does not constitute an informality or technicality, and, in submitting a Bid, the Bidder agrees to be bound by that determination. No contract shall be awarded to any person or entity that is in arears to the Village of South Chicago Heights, Illinois upon any debt or contract with the Village, or who is a defaulter as to surety or otherwise upon any obligation to the Village of South Chicago Heights, Illinois.
INSURANCE: The successful Bidder will be required to furnish certificates and policies of insurance.
The Contractor(s) selected will be required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations and Executive Orders, including but not limited to those pertaining to Equal Employment Opportunity.
