The South Chicago Heights Fire Department is constantly seeking applicants for “paid-on-call” and part-time firefighter/EMT’s and Paramedics.  We review applications year-round for both of these positions.  The hiring process is as follows:

  1. Application
  2. Interview
  3. Background check
  4. Pre-employment physical
  5. Approval from the Fire Chief

Minimum Requirements:

  1. 18 years old
  2. US citizen
  3. High school diploma or equivalent
  4. Valid Driver’s License
